Every September the Knights statewide hit the street corners and store fronts collecting money for special needs children. We hand out Tootsie Rolls as a thank you for your generosity. Statewide the Knights provide support for group homes and job programs for special needs children who age out of traditional residential programs.
Locally the St. Peter Damian Knights provide support for Clarewoods Academy, a school for special needs children with roots in Bartlett, Misericordia, Children Of Mary. a group for special needs young adults and the Parish STEP program, which provides religious education for special needs children.

but it didn't stop the festivities. Despite the gloomy weather the picnic was a success.
On Saturday August 10th, 2024 the Knights hosted another very successful blood drive. In conjunction with Vitalant, we collected 23 units of blood. Vitalant is contributing $20.00 for each of those units to the parish food pantry. That $460.00 will go a long way toward feeding those in need. Not only did we help save dozens of lives, we also are able to feed many more. Thank you all for your generosity!!

St. Peter Damian Council 8699 has received word from the order's Supreme Headquarters in New Haven CT that we have been awarded Star Council status for the 2023-24 fraternal year. Fewer than 10% of the nearly 25,000 councils worldwide achieve this milestone. St Peter Damian Council has received it more than 20 times in it's 40 year history. Councils that receive this prestigious award have met or exceeded their charitable goals, membership recruiting goals and have shown proof of multiple successful programs. Congratulations to PGK Mark Alagna, the officers and members for this remarkable achievement! Thank you to Fr Chris, the parish staff and parishioners of St. Peter Damian Parish. We could not have done this without your support!!
On Sunday July 14th, St. Peter Damian Knights of Columbus presented checks to 3 of our 4 2024-25 Scholarship Awardees. Representing the Knights are Deacon Jon Porter, our Warden, Past Grand Knights Rich Henkel, Mark Alagna, and Ray Arndt as well as current Grans Knight Craig Weber. The recipients were Victoria NalepkaSean HarveyAdam KasokKyle KudrnaSean was unable to attend and is not pictured.Congrats to our Awardees. This is an annual program, and applications will be accepted again in the late winter / early spring.
The Knights recently hosted the annual end of the school year barbeque for the kids at Clare Woods Academy. CWA is a school serving children with various mental and learning disabilities. We cooked more than 200 hamburgers and 100 hot dogs as well as potato salad and of curse cookies and snocones! The kids look forward to this picnic every year. For the Knights it's 30 year plus tradition and one we intend to continue. We could not do this without your generous support.
Feb 29th- The St Peter Damian Knights delivered a check to Clarewood Woods Academy this morning. The funds were collected as part of the Annual Tootsie Roll drive to benefit Children with Intellectual and Learning Disabilities. The Knights in the phot are Treasurer George Mikosz, Past Grand Knight and ILD Drive Chairman Rich Henkel, Grand Knight Mark Alagna and PGK Ray Arndt.
The Knights of Columbus Supreme Council has recognized our council's hard work in the past year by awarding us both the Founders and Columbian Awards.
